Golfers and non-golfers alike have described the site as a magnificent setting for a golf course. Architect Graham Cooke calls the location "enormously powerful". With lovely views in all directions, it truly is a remarkable setting for a remarkably executed course.

The course evolved from a 225-acre parcel of open and wooded land that was part of a larger 415-acre plot. A remaining 165 acres is deeded to the Vermont Land Trust to remain undeveloped in perpetuity. There is no residential traffic through the course.
