Social

Families and fun are essential ingredients in the Country Club of Vermont experience.

Whether your family enjoys a healthy balance of activities or are non-athletic we offer a variety of social activities that are engaging and fun!

  • Leagues & Tournaments
    • For fun, social golf and an excellent opportunity to meet other golfing members, you may want to join Country Club of Vermont's Men's or Ladies' leagues, or perhaps participate in our member-wide tournaments. Either way, the camaraderie is as much a part of the experience as the friendly competition.

Men's and Ladies' leagues are a 9- hole format open to players of all abilities. Immediately following play, league members have the opportunity to gather in the Clubhouse for drinks, dinner and fellowship. Tuesday Night Men’s League is one of our most popular club events, averaging nearly 60 players each season. If you are a lady who enjoys a little friendly competition our Monday Night Ladies' League is a great choice! The ladies' have refined a match play format that will keep you engaged and require your A-game.

The Club offers a wide variety of tournament formats for individuals, teams, and couples, including our popular Italian Shamble, invitationals, and many Club Championships. Regardless of the format, the number of players or the skill level, every Club golf event is conducted as if it were the most important event of the year. Each event is professionally run, and is designed for the overall enjoyment of those participating.
  • Book Club
    • Our Book Club meets monthly from June through September. All members of the club, their spouses/partners and guests are welcome! Four books are selected each season, one per month. The person who chooses the book researches the author, book club questions and leads the discussion. Book Club meets at noon with the option to enjoy lunch during the discussion.
  • Bridge
    • Duplicate Bridge is held during the golf season on Wednesdays at 12:45 pm in the clubhouse. This is not officially sanctioned, but bidding boxes are used, and a director keeps the bidding and play moving along. Members and Non-Members are welcome. If possible, please bring your own partner. If you don't have a partner will do our best to pair you up. The weekly fee is $3 for members and $5 for non-member guests. Each week the winning pair will receive vouchers for a free lunch!
